Atlassian announces new autumn price increase
As has become tradition in the second half of September, Atlassian has once again announced a price increase for its most popular tools – and this year is no exception. The new pricing comes into effect on 16 October 2025, meaning customers have until then to renew their licences at current rates.
The tools affected by this increase include: Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, OpsGenie, Atlassian Guard, Bitbucket and Compass. The price changes apply across all three tiers – Standard, Premium, and Enterprise – and range from 5% to 20%, depending on the product and number of users. A full breakdown of the percentage increases can be found in the table below:

Feature changes in Jira Service Management Standard plan
In addition to the price increase, Atlassian has announced that certain advanced features will be removed from the Standard plan in Jira Service Management and made available only to Premium and Enterprise users going forward. These features include:

Post-Incident Reviews

Change work category

Change queues

Change calendar

Automated risk assessments

Integrations with CI/CD tools

System-level change automation rules

Problem work category

Problem queues
Customers who have already been using any of these features under the Standard plan will retain access for an additional 12 months, after which they will need to upgrade their plan to continue using them.
New usage-based charges for Premium and Enterprise users
Premium and Enterprise users of Jira Service Management will also be affected by new usage-based pricing. Charges will now apply depending on how much certain features are used – specifically, Assets objects and Virtual Service Agents. Once predefined limits are exceeded, Atlassian will introduce additional charges. Details can be found in the table below:

What should you do?
If your licences are nearing renewal, we strongly recommend reaching out to your Atlassian partner to discuss your options and secure your renewal before the new pricing takes effect. Otherwise, from 16 October, you may face up to 20% higher costs for your favourite collaboration tools.
