One of the major announcements Atlassian made at the Team ’24 conference in Las Vegas was the retirement of the Atlas licence as a standalone product.
Its core features will now become part of Atlassian Platform Experiences, which will be free for all Atlassian users with at least one Atlassian site, such as Jira or Confluence.
This marks Atlassian’s first step towards building a comprehensive Platform Experiences hub, aimed at bringing together key functionality from some of its most popular products in a single place. Naturally, access to Platform Experiences will require an active paid Atlassian licence.
It’s important to note that existing Atlas users will have all their data preserved and automatically migrated to the new platform by Atlassian. This means no action is required on the part of users — everything will be handled seamlessly.
Atlassian Platform Experiences is currently in early access, and full details on how to join can be found at the following link.
